Hey All Makeup lovers,
Sorry, it has been busy for the last several months since I have blogged here. Between work and being away and trying to find time to blog has been very difficult for me as something always get distracted so easily! So here is an update on what I had picked up at Sephora when I was in Portland, recently for my vacation back in November. I basically splurged when I got there, Not only its no tax but my VIP 20% discount came during that same time when I was there. hehehe...such a blessing with the amount of products that I had bought to stock up for my kit and for my own personal uses.
So here we go I had picked up: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24 hrs foundation(250 Bisque,W), Eyeko skinny eyeliner (Black), Tarte blush set(4 different blushes), Lancome Hypnose Star mascara set(includes hypnose star mascara(black), makeup remover, artliner, mascara primer), Urban Decay Cannonball mascara, UD 24/7 perversion eyeliner, Tarte blush (Expose), 2 lip liners(perfection & 16C(bright pink), Cinderella lip stick set, and Shu Uemura eyelash curler, Duo false eyelash glue, and Makeup Forever Sens eyes removers, . Also, I had used my VIB points for a NARS set which came with eye primer, pore primer, lipstick, blush(orgasm).
After using Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr foundation, its like my favorite foundation. It`s not heavy on skin. Very light on skin after application, so its very breathable. Very buildable (medium to full coverage). I got to say this is my top or it could be my holy grail, as I am still looking for more foundations to try out.
I am always on the look out for eyeliners to try. Especially I have mono lid, the typical Asian eyelid. I had try out a lot of different eyeliners from pencils, gels, and liquids. By far, Eyeko has the best pigmentation of black after the second coat and long lasting and its waterproof! I just love the deep dark black making my eyes stands out even wider and bigger. Compare to the Lancome Artliner eyeliner, I don`t love as much as I find that its not very black in pigmentation . After all the good reviews, I find it hard to get the blackest color of the eyeliner from Lancome's Artliner like Eyeko`s eyeliner. After 3-4 coats of eyeliner to get that darkness that I like is very hard, plus it does not dry as fast as Eyeko. Glad I got this in a set, I would definitely not be repurchase it on it own unless the formula changes. Along with the eyeliner, there is the Lancome Hypnose Star mascara (black), love it. It does wondrous on my lashes, as I have short lashes, not only it lengthen and volumized my lashes!Plus, it waterproof! Nothing can go wrong with waterproof. One thing , I'm not very hype about it the smell of the mascara. It has a rose scent smell but it doesn't last long after applications. Otherwise, this is a wondrous mascara. But I still hold my UD cannonball waterproof +mascara holy grail.
Beside, Lancome Artliner, I had to try UD perversion eyeliner, which I love it to use on my waterline. Love the black liner and so smooth to apply on eye lid and on waterline. Definitely a must have!
After my wide search on the Tarte limited blush set, I finally found it. Love the shades in the set. There are 2 mattes and 2 shimmers. The 4 shades are : Fantastic (soft fuchsia), magic( pink coral) these are matte colors. Angelic (shimmering champagne), and Stellar (shimmering nude) these are shimmer colors. They work really well with any kind of makeup.
The Sephora Cinderella lip stick set are pigmented and bright. I had yet to get a chance to tested out on myself. But I had used it on my sister when she did graduation pictures. It looks wonderful and smooth when I swatch it. The color are as follow : Lady Tremaine (dark purple), Pumpkin (light pink), Who Is She (pink), My Moment ( Nude pink with gold specks). See swatch below. The only color I don`t like is that the last color My Moment lip color. It doesn`t show that well, you can only see gold speck. Other than that majority of the color works well in both day and evening makeup looks.
So these are the products, I had a chance to test it out. Hopefully, this will be helpful to you gals out there, who are looking for someones opinions on some of these products!
Thanks for dropping by!
